The Brawl Stars Tier List After Recent Updates
Understanding the Brawl Stars Tier List Concept
Updated (October 28, 2025): We’ve decided to update our Brawl Stars tier list, since there are 96 brawlers in the Brawl Stars roster. The latest September update added a few new brawlers to try out – Mina, Trunk, and Alli:
- Mina possesses a special Capoeira Combo that varies in distances. She is an A-tier option since she is fast and causes good damage.
- Trunk uses ants to cause damage in the long run and is at C-Tier when the circumstances are appropriate.
- Alli tends to be on the D-tier lists since new brawlers such as her are often unable to secure good spots in the high-trophy game.
The Brawl Stars S-Tier in October 2025 is filled with aggressive brawlers such as Kit and Mortis, and control brawlers such as Cordelius. This indicates a change to high burst damage and good crowd control.
Original Post (February 22, 2025):
Since its worldwide launch in December 2018 by the developer and publisher Supercell, Brawl Stars has become one of the leading and most interactive multiplayer mobile games. The 3v3 hybrid battle royale game features more than 80 Brawlers whose separate abilities and Star powers create a lot of space for strategic gameplay. To find the best playable characters in the game, you need to have a Brawl Start tier list with the brawlers categorized according to their abilities, personal stats, Star powers, and players’ picks. The Asami Games team decided to do the deep research and make our suggestion.
We used such ranks as S-tier, A-tier, B-tier, C-tier, and D-tier from the best to the worst brawlers and defined 3-5 picks for each category. If you want to see all 80 characters ranked, make sure to visit the fan-made communities and fan-made tier lists for Brawl Stars (update – there are 96 brawlers as of October 2025).
The Brawl Stars Epic Tier List – Things We Considered
Just like with another brawler – Brawlhalla, we’ve considered a few important factors when compiling our Brawl Stars tier list:
- The win statistics of professional players, along with the match statistics, show which Brawlers win the most games. These statistics are available publicly. You can check them too.
- Professional players’ preference for specific Brawlers and their reliable performance through the updates.
- The various game modes – Gem Grab, Showdown, Brawl Ball, Heist, and Bounty – and the performance of all characters in these modes.
- A Brawler’s rating in the tier list depends on the attack abilities, along with their Hypercharge abilities, Star powers, and gadgets, relative to their team members and opposing forces.
- Supercell periodically sets up the game parameters through updates.
- Competitive professional players like iKaoss release draft-focused lists that prioritize versatility and counter-play strategies more than raw stats in their rankings. We take these recommendations as one more parameter as well.

Why Do You Need the Updated Brawl Stars Tier List?
After the launch, Brawl Stars started with 15 Brawlers and expanded to 80 playable characters by 2025 (update – there are 96 brawlers as of October 2025). That is why you need to use the recent and updated Brawl Stars tier list options every few months. Back in the day, players mostly picked the tank Brawlers like El Primo because of their great health points and short-range strength, but the addition of Piper as sniper and Gene as support alongside the hybrid Surge made the gameplay more interesting and diverse.
The implementation of gadgets in 2020, along with Star Powers, added new complex layers and deeper research to make a tier list in Brawl Stars.
The presented feature of HyperCharge in 2023 added a temporary power move to change the ranks. For example, the S-tier position of Surge happened to his Hypercharge power-up, which both extends his attack range and improves his survival abilities. Similarly, Mortis’ dash-heavy Hypercharge elevates his assassin role. It means that every Brawl Stars HyperCharge tier list includes those characters who used to be A-tier listers but then turned into S-tier champs.
Also, the latest meta as of February 2025 includes the characters presented through Seasons 32-33, with new brawlers like Meeple (released in late 2024) that many players found very interesting and useful in the arena.

We recommend you check the updated tier lists for Brawl Stars through Reddit, X, Discord, and special websites like TierMaker. Follow the official updates from the developers to find out about the release of new gameplay features or characters.
The Ultimate Brawl Stars Character Tier List
The current Brawl Stars tier list we want you to check out includes the meta from Season 32, which started in December 2024. The patch notes introduced the new brawler, Meeple, as a quirky support. We included this brawler in our Brawl Stars tier list.
1) S-Tier – The Meta Dominators:
- Rico stands as a gaming champion in almost any Brawl Stars meta tier list. He has a 62% win rate while his volatile projectiles manage lanes effectively in Gem Grab and Brawl Ball.
- Among professional players, Mortis maintains a 58% win rate while his dash as the Hypercharge ability makes him excel in Brawl Ball and Showdown.
- Stu maintains the S-Tier position in 3v3 modes because of his quick attacks combined with a Super ability that knocks any foes backward.
- Surge has the fourth-stage upgrade (Post-Hypercharge) to expand his range and health. He provides his superior performance in Bounty and Heist.
- Kenji, who was introduced mid-2024, brought the Hosomaki Heal gadget and shield Star Power, which secured his S-tier status even after the game balance updates.

2) A-Tier – Strong Contenders:
- Piper functions as the top sniper due to his exceptional sharpshooting ability, but his performance declines when fighting encounters get closer.
- Bibi masters Brawl Ball and Hot Zone competition due to her fast movements and rebound abilities.
- Buzz brings superior short-time power together with an amazing Super ability in Gem Grab despite his requirement for specific map layouts.
- Berry is one of the healers introduced in 2024. He can enhance 3v3 teams using his support abilities through the Friendship is Great gadget.
- Juju arrived in October 2024 with his ability to walk on water and buff his attacks.

3) B-Tier – Solid Picks:
- Dynamike remains a powerful Heist and Siege hero, but his weak points outperform the best abilities.
- Colt serves Bounty effectively with his consistent damage output, but newer alternatives in the game perform better.
- Sandy. The sandstorm ability of Sandy enhances team stealth in battles. However, this ability becomes less effective outside of the Gem Grab mode.
- Max performs excellently in Brawl Ball matches thanks to her speed abilities, while her damage output remains inadequate when compared to modern meta Brawlers.
- Leon’s stealth attacks in the Showdown match are perfect while he is weak in 3v3 battles.

4) C-Tier – Average Performers:
- El Primo lost his former greatness after being hit by changes in 2024 and now is picked only for specific Brawl Ball situations.
- Meeple (released in December 2024) entered C-Tier until proving the worth through meta-adjustment – we don’t see any significant abilities that help to perform well.
- Tick’s siege area-blocking functions annoy the opponents, but the short endurance of his health prevents picks at higher levels.

5) D-Tier – Situational… at Best:
- Frank has excellent durability combined with a quick ability to recharge but his sluggish movement speed fails him too often when opposing fast-moving opponents.
- Hank. The balloon-to-tank combination of Hank works well in certain situations but his specialized damage suffers against modern competitive gameplay.
- Janet. While aerial abilities offer enjoyable mobility to Janet during standard modes, they deliver very few significant effects against competitive opponents;
- Charlie. The updated 2024 version of Charlie has developed a main problem since her Super ability is just an easy-to-miss obstacle.
- Ash used to be an elite tank during his prime years, but his additional Hypercharge ability fails to bring back the previous success.

The Best Brawl Stars Tier List in 2025 for Solo Players
When you prefer to play solo, you need to choose the best of the best characters for your Brawl Stars tier list:
- Melodie. Using her Interlude Gadget Melodie fires music notes to create protective revolving notes. These notes deliver double damage to enemies and provide her defense against incoming damage. She dashes instantly to produce surprise attacks against enemies from any direction while she stays at a distance and keeps control over the fight. The activated Fast Beats Star Power temporarily increases her movement speed to the highest level possible.
- Cordelius. Cordelius benefits from his Hypercharge passive ability that speeds up his power meter during hand-to-hand fights. The ultimate ability of Cordelius can be a powerful tool by moving him and his enemies into the Shadow Realm where adversaries lose access to their ultimate abilities and Gadget’s power.
- Leon. The stealth function of Leon makes him superior when competing in the Solo Showdown. The Super ability of this character creates temporary invisibility so he can surprise opponents before they know what hit them. The Lollipop Drop Gadget together with the strategic advantages brings better map area control and mobility. The Invisiheal Star Power safeguards his survival while performing sneaky moves.
Also, you may take advantage of such solo-friendly Brawlers as Shelly and Angelo because of their high damage skills, movement speed, and enhanced Super powers.

The Brawl Stars Tier List for Each Game Mode
There are a few different modes in Brawl Stars you should take into account when creating a tier list. S, A, and B-tier characters are various picks depending on the mode:
- Gem Grab – Rico (S), Stu (S), and Berry (A) are the best picks in this mode because of their superior lane control abilities and strong team support roles.
- Showdown – Mortis (S), along with Leon (B), are great for this mode since their stealth and mobility stats were updated.
- Brawl Ball – Bibi (A) and Mortis (S) are the best choices because they excel at ball handling and speed, while Max (B) also shows good mobility stats.
- Heist – Dynamike (B), Surge (S), and Chuck (A) are the greatest options for dealing with damage to safety caches.
- Bounty – Piper (A), Surge (S), and Colt (B) are usually picked because of their sniper abilities.
Keep in mind that a professional Brawl Stars Ranked tier list differs drastically because most characters have diverse abilities and stats in the Ranked mode’s challenges.
