The Concept of Genshin Impact Leaks of Banners

All of us know about the real deal in Genshin Impact – the characters! Funny, dorky, powerful, charismatic, cringe, and magnificent – there are so many of them to adore and hate. Each new version brings us some new 4-star and 5-star characters that we can only Wish for. The current Genshin Impact 5.1 version also brought a few interesting characters and some hints or, as we call them, leaks of new banners with the upcoming male and female heroes coming through version 5.1. to 5.4. So, let’s dive into the latest Genshin Impact Leaks of new banners.

Character Banners

Since the game’s release in 2020, Genshin Impact’s Wish character banners have been a big thing among the insiders who like to give hints, insights, and leaks before the official announcement. That is why every new banner gives players a new reason to look forward to it. The banners for characters and weapons have gathered a fan base over all these years. If you want to learn more about new characters in Genshin Impact, you just look at the banners, literally.

This chase for the banners can become very addictive. Gacha mechanics is another core concept in Genshin Impact. Just like when you have new free slot games to choose from, the thrill of learning something great and exciting is like getting a gift for Christmas. Genshin Impact characters are awesome as well as their banners. Each banner is a piece of art, you have to admit this.

Genshin Impact Leaks

In Genshin Impact Wish Banners are at the core of each player’s experience in Genshin Impact. These addictive, ephemeral voids let you Wish for new characters and items. You can find out more about the powers and lore of new characters before their release in an upcoming update. Each time you see a new banner with a character or weapon, you can Wish for it – do the run with the in-game currency called Primogems. If you are lucky enough, after a few runs you will get the character or weapon from this banner to your roster.

The character banners (Event Wishes) usually show up a new character, typically a 5-star hero. In addition to one 5-star character (rarely there are 2 of them), we usually get no less than three 4-star characters. The plotlines of this “squad” are usually intertwined and connected.

The Banner Rotation

The developer team also created such a thing as a rotation of new banners. It is easy to explain – imagine that you are playing the popular Cats of Olympuss demo and then suddenly new characters start to appear on the screen every 3 minutes. The same happens with the Genshin Impact banners but only every other 3rd week. Sometimes they give us two banners within a 3-week term but mostly just one. Some banners are limited to only 1-2 weeks, for different special occasions.

Back in Genshin’s early days, the concept of new banners was simple and the character banner schedule was very predictable. But as the character roster grew, HoYoverse doubled the number of banners per each numbered update. If you have been following the Genshin Impact 5.0 leaks, then you know that right now each new update gives us the new content in phases. Generally, we get two banners per phase. Usually with an introduction of a few new characters and reruns for favorite heroes with an overhaul. That is why every character’s banner reveal feels like a special occasion.

Many players stash their Primogems where there are leaks about new banners. They wait for the new Wish banners and pray so their Wishes can bring them new 5-star characters.

Since the introduction of the Genshin Impact 1.0 release version, we’ve got over 60 awesome banners starting with Venti (the silly bard with an uncanny past) and Lyney (an outspoken local celebrity). Most of these banners appear online long before the official announcement and their addition to the Wishlist. A lot of enthusiastic fans chance the unique Genshin Impact character leaks on the banners. Usually, it happens through the leaks from the massive community of Asian gamers in China, South Korea, etc.

After the term of a banner expires, the character from the banner disappears from the game’s Wishlist. They may re-appear on a rerun but you may have to wait for a few weeks before it happens.

Weapon Banners

Genshin Impact’s weapon banners usually introduce powerful 5-Star weapons that may significantly increase the stats of certain characters. Just like the character banners, weapon banners change every 3 weeks. We usually get two 5-Star weapons and a handful of improved 4-Star weapons. They always match the character banners and also have the reruns.

Chronicled Wish Banners

The Chronicled Wish banner, a new banner type introduced in version 4.5, shows the characters and weapons rerun for a limited time period. Limited Chronicled Wish banners let you get the 5-Star character or weapon from a random list with Fate points. It is a great opportunity to get the previously missed character and weapons.

The HoYoverse team behind Genshin Impact really works hard to deliver new banners every 3 weeks. It is a wonder they still have any time left to work on other exciting gaming projects for us.

Genshin Impact Banners in 5.1 Version

The version 5.1. banners feature the rerun of fan-favorite characters Nahida and Hu Tao. They were introduced in October 2024.

1) Moongrass Enlightenment Banner

The Dendro Archon – Nahida’s 5 Star catalyst magic shimmers on her banner “Moongrass Enlightenment”. Nahida is popular among the fans for her calm and sage-like personality.

Her 3 powerful 4-Star companions are:

  • Kuki Shinobu, the Electro healer;
  • Sethos, the Electro support;
  • Xingqiu, a consistent Hydro damage dealer;

This lineup allows players to beef up their roster with well-rounded characters that play multiple roles.

2) Moment of Bloom Banner

Another banner called “Moment of Bloom” shows Hu Tao, a Pyro polearm-wielder. Her high-risk, high-reward gameplay makes her a must-have character for any tough adventure. Like Nahida, Hu Tao has a support team of augmented 4-starred characters – Kuki Shinobu, Sethos, and Xingqiu. This combo gives fans the option to switch between two entirely different styles of play — Nahida’s base-style control and Hu Tao’s powerful, one-shot attacks.

3) Epitome Invocation Weapon Banner

This year’s Epitome Invocation weapon banner pairs these two 5-star character banners with:

  • Hu Tao’s signature sword, Staff of Homa, a polearm to boost her skills to the top;
  • Nahida’s A Thousand Floating Dreams catalyst to boost their Dendro-based teams;

These 5-Star weapons are backed with four 4-Star weapons: Dragon’s Bane (polearm), Eye of Perception (catalyst), Favonius Warbow (bow), Fruitful Hook (claymore), and Lion’s Roar (sword).

More About Genshin Impact Leaks for 5.2 Character Banners

Chasca, an Anemo 5-star character with a bow will make her debut in the 5.2 version. She’ll deliver a new aerial combat system and can become a great addition to any Anemo team, according to the leaked images of her.

The 4-star Electro bow-user Ororon will join her for the Electro support build. His support for the mainline DPS heroes can make him a valuable team player.

The Klee’s rerun will accompany the new characters Chasca and Ororon in Phase I. Being a Pyro with explosive powers, flamboyant Klee makes the fans very excited.

Phase II could include the rerun of Albedo, the Geo alchemist who hasn’t had a banner since Version 3.1. He has a special talent for the Geo builds.

Venti, our favorite Anemo Archon, may well make his way to Phase II as well. Venti’s maneuvers on the battlefield are indispensable, particularly in exhausting large-scale battles.

The return of these Mondstadt characters, especially Albedo, coincides with the YouTube rumors of the new Dragonspine event. Dragonspine was already introduced as the Mondstadt area during previous updates.

The Latest Genshin Impact Character Leaks about Citlale in 5.3 Update

Just like with Genshin Impact Arlecchino leaks, the leak of the 5-star character Citlale comes in 5.3. caused a real storm among the fans.

Being one of the Masters of the Night-Wind with Cryo power, Citlali comes with a limited-time banner (and not your normal banner). Say cheers for exclusivity!

The leak comes from the ProjectENKA who suggests that Citlali’s inclusion as a limited banner character will distinguish her from such characters as Tighnari and Dehya on the standard banner. Considering the mixed feedback about the standard banner’s characters, the community takes her limited release as a good sign that this limited character will be more powerful and charismatic. Players are hopeful that her Cryo abilities will be great for any team.

Version 5.3 promises to be an epic update, besides Citlali’s release, but also due to the rumored arrival of Mavuika, the Pyro Archon.

We expect the release window for Version 5.3 in January 2025. Follow our blog to get more news before the release.
