Xbox Developer Direct Revealed Awesome Games for Game Pass!
On January 23, 2025, Xbox Developer Direct made headlines with their exciting display of new video games. Get ready to play Doom: The Dark Ages Doom game along with South of Midnight and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in the first half of 2025. And we’ve got the famous Japanese title scheduled for Fall 2025 on Xbox Game Pass (just like all the previous titles announced during this Direct showcase).
Doom: The Dark Ages
This Direct’s highlight was Doom: The Dark Ages update. The long-anticipated prequel game takes players back to a medieval dark fantasy setting with a revamped Doom Slayer experience. As the first line of defense, the player gets the classic double-barreled shotgun and advanced saw-shield against endless hordes of demonic enemies. The video shows hard action battles along with the basic details about the Slayer’s beginnings in a vast sandbox world, with a heavy focus on new storytelling. The game arrives on Xbox Series X|S PC and PlayStation 5 on May 15, 2025.
South of Midnight
Compulsion Games creates South of Midnight as their next action-adventure title with stunning visuals and an interesting world to explore. South of Midnight will arrive on April 8, 2025, after many years of development. Though today’s event shared limited new details, it affirmed the developer’s plan to create a powerful storytelling experience. The fans on Reddit are pretty much excited about this soon-to-happed release.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The French game studio Sandfall Interactive released their latest project Expedition 33. A late 19th-century story of alternative France unfolds in this fantasy game that takes core mechanics from JRPGs to bring a memorable storytelling journey. The game will launch in the same month as South of Midnight – April 24, 2025.
Secret Reveal!
When Ninja Gaiden 4 from Team Ninja and Platinum Games was revealed as a secret announcement, fans got excited. Both Japanese studios worked together to create their latest title while introducing us to Yakumo as the game’s new main character. The sequel picks up from Ninja Gaiden 3 to give players both familiar gameplay and new action elements. Ninja Gaiden 4 will draw in experienced players and first-timers all at once. The game arrives sometime in Fall 2025 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Also, they shadow-dropped the remake of Ninja Gaiden II Black on January 23, 2025. Play it now on Xbox Game Pass!
