The 2v8 Mode Is Back!

Konami and Behaviour Interactive – devs of Dead by Daylight – are so ready to bring back the most thrilling game modes that the game has ever had. Yes, the 2v8 mode is back! Starting from November 12 and running until November 26 you can try playing it. It has been updated and it seems even better than ever. It’s not just a nostalgic return, but a chance to enjoy the refined experience with new content and a game balance that should satisfy new players and veterans.

The fan-favorite 2v8 mode first landed this summer and immediately had players hooked. Initially intended for the closure on August 8, Behaviour Interactive decided to give it an additional week based on fan feedback.

Dead by Daylight update

What Will Change for 2v8 Mode Players?

It’s not just two Killers versus eight Survivors this time. The updated version of the 2v8 mode will include new Killers – The Blight, The Spirit, and The Deathslinger – along with the old Killers – The Trapper, The Nurse, and The Huntress. Survivors will also be taking home new tools called Active Abilities that let them always stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers. These abilities vary from speeding up the repairs to raising broken pallets and then to instant recoveries from the Dying State. This mode is about giving players more ways to strike back and keep the tension high during the whole gaming session.

Special 2v8 versions of the maps Yamaoka Estate and the Grave of Glendale will appear with new challenges and opportunities for Survivors or Killers. Just as the Survivors get new tricks up their sleeves, Killers evolve, too. The new update brings along four different classes: Shadow, Brute, Enforcer, and Fearmonger. Each class has to handle a different type of gameplay – sneaking around like a Shadow or being an unrelenting Brute.

The gameplay is getting more interesting, for sure. You get a chance to boast your crown online after beating all the Killers or Survivors in these thrilling matches with new classes. Become a ghost or brute force in the limited 2v8 mode!

Castlevania Characters Will Appear in DBD!

Dead by Daylight is famous for its collaborations with popular thriller and horror franchises like Silent Hill 2, Evil Dead, Alien, Predator, etc. The game will also receive a new chapter called Tome 21: Dominus which shows off the gloomy beauty of the all-time classic franchise Castlevania.

New character skins for Soma Cruz, Jonathan Morris, and Shanoa lead this update. Heck, even “True Form” Dracula gets a skin for The Dark Lord, and a new cloak for The Nurse. This content is the part of the Dominus Rift Pass. The release is expected by the end of October of 2024.

With the return of the Halloween season, 2v8, and Castlevania content, Dead by Daylight will bring a lot of exciting game night sessions solo or with friends. Behaviour Interactive never really stops keeping an ear open for player feedback, so make sure to leave your feedback on their sub-Reddit thread.
