The Grand Collaboration with Xbox Game Studios

As per the insight posted on the Exputer and later proofs by some reputable Reddit users, Xbox Game Studios and Hundred Star are teaming up for an upcoming AAA single-player game. Rumor has it that the console giant signed an agreement to finance this AAA project for a new British developer studio.

According to the Reddit discussion, the first game of Hundred Star is going to be an action-adventure single-player game created with the latest Unreal Engine 5 installment. It may come out for Xbox consoles and PCs. However, a multiplatform debut is possible later because of the recent multiplatform strategy by Xbox.

You should expect more news about this collaboration during the upcoming Xbox Showcase on June 9, 2024. They are going to reveal the already GamePass-confirmed Call of Duy Black Ops game and rumored Doom: Dark Ages.

What Is Hundred Star Game Studio?

Hundred Star is the new gaming studio launched by Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill. You may also know these expert developers as former co-founders of Rocksteady. The game they are currently making will be their first project since leaving Rocksteady in late 2022.

Hundred Star, a new London studio that Hill and Walker started up in 2023, is made up of 100 employees (and still hiring). Moreover, some insiders claim that more than 20 ex-Rocksteady workers who joined Walker and Hill after their departure from Rocksteady might be part of the team working on this forthcoming game.

Should We Get Excited or Scared?

Hundred Star’s Hill and Walker had a role in the latest Rocksteady release of 2024 – Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This game has received much-deserved criticism. Fans might be worried about their participation in this average game that didn’t get good reviews, yet they also should remember how successful Rocksteady’s co-founders have been with single-player action-adventure games up until that unfortunate release.

For example, Sefton Hill is very skilled in guiding the making of Rocksteady’s most victorious games, like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. With Hill steering the new studio, it’s a sure thing that fans will get an awesome gaming experience just like they did with the famous Arkham trilogy about Dark Knight.

We highly recommend following their new official website and watching the upcoming Summer Game Fest showcases to get the news about this studio and their forthcoming project in AAA format.
