Metro’s Developers from Ukraine Announced a New Game
La Quimera – A New Game from 4A Games Ukraine
The big news for Metro’s fans is coming. 4A Games Ukraine, the same team that brought us the Metro series, has just revealed La Quimera. It is a mind-blowing first-person shooter set in the distant futuristic landscape. This game will be the first non-Metro game for non-VR platforms from this studio. Also, they have decided to change the brand name for Reburn, which is quite symbolic for Ukrainians. Goodbye to 4A Games Ukraine, and welcome, Reburn! The main developer studio like heronbyte games will work from Ukraine, while the Maltese studio will work on the Metro series.
So, what will La Quimera offer? Picture a huge, futuristic Latin American city emerging from a thick forest, filled with classic science fiction vibes. Just look at the gorgeous trailer. You will become a soldier working in an individual military firm, battling against other private military companies in chaotic surroundings that have been destroyed by war.
The story will have VERY powerful individuals backing it—we have Nicolas Winding Refn, the imaginative director of “Drive” and so many other movies, as co-writer along with E.J.A. Warren. Wait for the action-packed fire exchanges, matched with an unusual addition of Latin American folklore.

Those gamers who enjoyed the Metro series may detect a well-known sensation within this novel environment — it’s electrifying, moving, and utterly unique. We can’t wait to see its release and the Call of Duty patch notes for the first update, this game seems like a life-long experience.
Solo or Squad Up? Both!
Now we come to the more interesting part. La Quimera gives you the freedom to play individually, but if you want social interaction, there’s a choice for a cooperative game with 2-3 players. According to Reburn’s CEO Dmytro Lymar, La Quimera is built with the same formula that made Metro games excellent – thrilling shooting scenes connected with memorable storytelling. There is no confirmation about the release date for La Quimera yet. For now, we see Steam and PC as the main platforms.
Is there a possibility of seeing it in 2026? Perhaps. We are merely speculating, however, waiting is already causing us discomfort. The fans on Reddit are pretty excited about the announcement of La Quimera.

What’s Next for Reburn Studio?
Embracer Group, their parent company, hinted at two top-grade projects back in September 2024. La Quimera is obviously the first one to be revealed. What about the second one? There is a Metro game quietly being developed, but it could take some time before its release. This new first-person shooter (FPS) marks Reburn’s initial attempt at an original Intellectual Property (IP) outside of virtual reality (VR). Their only other non-Metro titled work was “Arktika.1”, which was available only on Oculus VR (currently Meta) in 2017.
The Asami Games is pretty excited about this release from Ukrainian developers. We will continue to post updates about the game when they appear in the future. Make sure to bookmark and follow us!
