Surely, such success can’t be ignored by the developers and publishers. That is why the new update of Season 1 was announced for the very soon release. The season will launch on January 10, 2025 with new exciting content and beloved heroes from the Fantastic Four team.
Marvel Rivals Introduced Season 1 Content
Marvel-related games usually have very impressive games. Take, for instance, the recent updates for Marvel Snap. NetEase Games revealed a full content plan for Season 1. It will be called Eternal Night Falls with the launch on January 10, 2025.
The new season adds one of Marvel’s favorite teams, The Fantastic Four. But they won’t have an easy welcome — Dracula is coming as the main antagonist of Season 1. This notorious vampire boss will have a supernatural perspective in the combat. Dracula and Doctor Doom decided to plunge New York City into eternal darkness. People on Reddit are already expecting to see Blade in the next update because of his past relationship with the vampire lord.
Public beta testers have been pretty busy in exploring all the changes coming with the first content update – from new maps to new hero abilities and Capture the Flag mode. Season 1 is going to be sizzling hot!
The biggest surprise of Marvel Rivals Season 1 is the debut of The Fantastic Four. Marvel Rivals has been hinting at the option for some time, but now it is official. Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing are going to be introduced in pairs during the entire season.
We’ve already seen the leaked Human Torch’s fire-based skills that help him to manipulate the battle arenas like Groot. If the leaks are true, then the guy will be a deadly weapon in the right team.
In the meantime, we don’t know much about The Thing’s play style. The real question on the lips of many gamers is how this hero will be different compared to The Hulk – another powerhouse character already in the roster.
New York City Maps Are Coming!
New York City was revealed in the trailer for the first time being introduced as a dark spooky mess similar to the bustling city. For example, the Baxter Building might make it look like an interactive environment involving the appearance of the Fantastic Four.
New York’s inclusion in the major map roster means more urban battlefields are coming. Gothic architecture, ominous skies, and a phantasmagoric version of NYC could be the perfect place for Dracula’s vicious plans to unfold.
