What’s New in Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.2.?
The recently released patch 2.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 is full of surprises. A secret mission based on Balatro, many cosmetics, customization options, and more vehicles are among the best changes brought along with fixes. And there’s another anime series coming!
Balatro and Cyberpunk 2077 Collaboration?
The secret Balatro quest has been very popular since the update was published on December 10th, 2024. Gamers can return to Night City to solve the riddle and get the exclusive “Joker of Night City” gift package. What is the reward? A cool Joker shirt and a Balatro trophy to put in Vi’s apartment.
It is a perfect complement to eccentric Balatro mixed in with stunning Cyberpunk slapstick. The quest’s plot and inventive presentation have already received awesome reviews. It was even teased by CD Projekt Red’s Radek Grabowski, who credited the artist Mazur for bringing this crossover to life. Vehicle Customization Like Never Before
Mods have been huge for Cyberpunk 2077 because there were few customization options, especially for vehicles. But Patch 2.2 changed this for the good. There are now vehicles outside the Rayfield lineup you can edit the appearance of your vehicle on the go. Go for the CrystalCoat/Kiroshi TwinTone — you need to “Scan” the vehicles in Night City to unlock new paint colors for collection.
By making their vehicles sleek and bold in color, Vi can turn regular cars and motorcycles into art pieces. Not only for looks but changing the customization on the go can help to avoid the policy—another great perk in a vast and chaotic Night City.
Also, character customization presets and photo mode settings were updated drastically.
Cyberpunk Expands Beyond the Game
Not everything in this update is about the gameplay. Cyberpunk 2077 is still an influence, and another anime series is in the works. After Cyberpunk: Edgerunners being so successful on Netflix, fans are eager to see a new animated series.
CD Projekt Red obviously doesn’t intend to forget about Cyberpunk 2077. It’s not like the game hasn’t gone from a bad initial release to a successful IP after all.

What’s Next for Cyberpunk?
