Destiny 2 new updates

Destiny 2 is about to make life so much easier for those fans who love farming Raids and Dungeons. Bungie has just unveiled some of the cool changes coming with the release of Episode: Revenant in October of 2024, and it’s all about giving players more ways to chase down the best loot in the game.

The new update will be doubling the amount of weekly featured Raids and Dungeons with a strict schedule. This approach will shave the wait times in half for select missions. Instead of waiting 8 weeks for your favorite mission to roll around, you’ll have to wait only four. That is a big win for players looking to maximize their time and grind with efficacy.

The Raid Rotation and New Raids on Schedule

The Destiny 2 community has been loud about how long it takes to get certain Raids and Dungeons back in rotation. Since October players will get more activities every week. And with Warlord’s Ruin, a new dungeon, joining the raid rotation, there’s even more loot to chase. Keep following the official website to learn more about the raid rotation and new time-limited events.

If you were farming for a specific armor or gun, waiting for a few weeks or even months is not an option to get what you want. With two weekly Raids and Dungeons, that pain is being eased somewhat. Starting October 8, 2024, players can access the Last Wish and Vow of the Disciple Raids, along with the Shattered Throne and Duality Dungeons. The grinding and farming can become easier!

With these updates, Bungie is looking to reduce frustration and give players more consistent access to the activities they enjoy. And with a new Warlord’s Ruin dungeon entering the mix, there’s plenty of new gear to hunt. At the same time, the fan-favorite exotic Void sidearm Buried Bloodline joins other stalwarts such as The Call and Choir of One. Of course, these guns will be staples in the arsenal of any hardcore Destiny 2 player.

3 New Episodes Are Coming!

Episode: Echoes may be concluding its final act, but Bungie is already looking ahead. Although Episode: Revenant has few hard and fast details, this update will focus on more replayable and interesting content. Bungie’s teased some big things for the future of Destiny 2, including a pretty mysterious project codenamed Frontiers and 3 new episodes that promises to shake things up in 2025. But shortly, expect more farming, loot, and more fun along with the rotation of new and old raids.

With all this on the horizon, it’s a great time to become a Destiny 2 player once again, especially with the news about the possibility of Destiny 3. Committing to these improvements of core systems shows Bungie is listening to the fan community. Let’s hope that all the upcoming changes will only be for the better!
