When Is the Western Release of Throne and Liberty?

The Western Release Window for Throne and Liberty Is Confirmed!

Ever since its Asian release in October of 2023, the South Korean MMORPG Throne and Liberty by NCSoft caused a lot of discussion and disputes among the fans of this genre. And finally, we’ve got some official news about the western release date for Throne and Liberty.

According to the official YouTube trailer, Throne and Liberty will be ready for the Western audience this September – you can play on the 17th. However, before that release date, you can test the game from July 18 to July 23, 2024. The open beta will be available on all the consoles – PlayStation and Xbox. Surely, the game title is on Steam as well.

Just like with Blue Protocol, Amazon Games handles the publishing and promoting Throne and Liberty for the Western audience. Many Western publishers are responsible for the release of Asian MMORPGs. It happens with the upcoming title Chrono Odyssey.

What Is Throne and Liberty?

Throne and Liberty is different from usual Asian MMORPGs because it doesn’t have normal classes. In this game, what skills or abilities you have depends on the weapons that are chosen by your playable character. The focus of the game is on exploration. Players may turn into animals for the smart fast travel across its vast open world. Throne and Liberty supports both PvE and PvP mechanics, showing off its visual graphics.

The story of Throne and Liberty happens in a world known as Solistium, where danger comes from Kazar, similar to Saurons. In this place, people look for parts of the Star of Sylaveth to get the strength to stop Kazar. The group Arkeum Legion is finding these pieces with assistance from the witch Calanthia. A group of Resistance people stands against them, and players will probably align with this faction to stop Kazar’s intentions.
