Get Your Hands On the New No Man’s Sky Update!

Even if you are a hardcore fan of the great adventure/sandbox game No Man’s Sky you are probably still surprised that this awesome space simulator gets FREE updates even after 8 years since its release in 2016. The new update 4.6 (called Orbital) landed recently to deliver the upgraded versions of space stations, an ability to customize and recycle your starships from scratch and boost your merchant guild experience.

As usual, the new features are accompanied by a ton of patch notes to improve this almost ideal game to another level. What makes this update totally special is that the fans didn’t expect to get it all, so consider this a huge spring surprise from Hello Games.

What’s New Landed With the Orbital Update?

The Orbital update for No Man’s Sky presents a major change in stations located in outer space, displaying more modern exteriors and also redesigned interiors. The refreshment of station insides extends to their use too, providing better utilities. These are like improved interactions with guilds and merchants where players can exchange donations for reputation in guilds.

Now, players can design almost any non-exclusive starship found in No Man’s Sky because they can gather parts from wrecked ships on different planets. This change lets the player avoid the randomness of finding their perfect starship and moves away from just exploration that many fans thought would stop customization of starships from being possible within the game.

Also, gamers can expect secure discounts on goods from the races they have good relations with. One of the most remarkable additions in the Orbital update is the ability for players to build their starships. This feature can be accessed through a unique terminal found within space stations.

The most important 4.6 patch notes of the Orbital Update are:

  • New visual improvements with reflection rendering;
  • All the interactions with merchants have been upgraded visually with a few new mechanics and interactions;
  • The refreshed look of all stations – finally, all of them look different now thanks to the procedurally generated interiors;
  • Gamers can use the Quick menu button to switch their docked ships while being aboard the station to prevent any situation when they can’t choose the ship with the compromised launch thrusters;
  • The fleets may seek your advice during their space missions by communicating via the player’s terminal;
  • A lot of fixes and small updates for the frigates;

And much more! Check the list of all the updates in the huge list of patch notes posted on the official website of No Man’s Sky. It is a great spring update.
