New World: Aeternum Gets a Closed Console Beta in July
The New Version of New World Is Coming This Year!
Recently Amazon Games brought the big news. A test version of their well-known MMO called New World will be opened for consoles in July. Players with Xbox and PlayStation, prepare to enter Aeternum for the first time! You should check the new trailer of New World: Aeternum – it looks promising!
New World: Aeternum, announced during the Summer Game Fest on June 7th, is the much-anticipated console port and PC overhaul for New World. It has been confirmed to launch worldwide on October 15th, 2024. Console players are going to experience Aeternum from scratch while those who play on PC will receive a revamped update free of charge if they possess last year’s amazing Rise of Angry Earth expansion pack. However, don’t worry if you don’t have the expansion—plenty of content to explore.

Similar to how it started, Aeternum requires finding and fixing any issues through testing. Because this is the first big console project from Amazon Games, a beta that only includes consoles is logical. It allows them to adjust the game before its October release date.
When To Play Closed Beta of New World: Aeternum?
The closed beta starts at 9 am PT on July 11th and ends at the same time on July 17th. It supports cross-play and can be played on PlayStation 5 plus Xbox Series S|X. Want to participate? Sign up for the beta to get an early taste of the action.
Still, the announcement has not been without its bumps. A part of PC players might sense being pushed to the side, for the new console community is taking more attention. This reminds us of previous discontent when the game moved towards hardcore PvP before it was released. During the Q&A session on Reddit, Amazon attempted to cool down the situation. However, the response from the community was mainly negative.
