Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 Is Coming! Are You Prepared?

Baldur’s Gate 3 community prepares for the massive launch of Patch 8. During this update, Larian Studios will add the innovative and creative Photo Mode with the long-anticipated crossplay support and 12 new subclasses to the experience. We’ve waited for a few months since the release of Patch 7, and it seems the anticipation was worth it.

For now, Patch 8 is still under testing and has already received its patch update (!) even before the release – yes, they released the patch for the patch before the release. The Asami Games team decided to discuss the major updates coming with Patch 8 that will drop in the next few weeks or even days (fingers crossed!).

Photo Mode to Capture Your Adventure!

Community members can have fun as Larian Studios has delivered the full-fledged Photo Mode experience – it was a huge demand. The game will add the freezing function for players, meaning you can pause time whenever you wish to take photos or fight enemies. You may have full control over your animated character’s emotions and poses in every corner of the vast world of Baldur’s Gate 3. Also, you may activate or deactivate NPCs.

Each scene may truly stand out because of adding stickers and applying cinematic frames. All your awesome photos can shine even better with post-processing effects. What is the catch? Cutscenes restrict camera movement during the turned-on photo mode, but you can still use post-processing effects during such sequences.

Photo Mode will be available for co-op and solo playthroughs. Split-screen is also supported. Check out the Reddit discussion where gamers already share their photos and their impressions of this new feature.

How does it work in a co-op mode? Through this feature, the hosting gamer can pause the game while all other participants can simultaneously modify the current scene in real time through the shared Photo Mode. Every player may add specific customization effects to the scene. Larian actively supports players to share their outstanding captures online, and we can’t wait to see those artistic or funny photos.

Crossplay Is Coming…Finally!

The most recent version of Patch 8 will add the crossplay so players can play with their friends from any platform – PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S systems. It means that the players would become an even closer community. The latest update enables you to connect with friends for cooperative play regardless of what platform they use and it is amazing!

New Subclasses – Expand Your Tactic Movements!

Among all updates coming with Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 twelve new subclasses are the most unexpected and anticipated feature.
