We Finally Got the Release Window for ArcheAge 2 and Chrono Odyssey!

Kakao Games is getting ready to release two new MMORPGs, ArcheAge 2 and Chrono Odyssey in 2025. They will be using Unreal Engine 5 for these games. In their financial report, Kakao confirmed that both of these new titles are planned for a worldwide launch next year.

ArcheAge 2 and Chrono Odyssey Be Released on Unreal Engine 5

Chrono Odyssey, which was first unveiled in 2020, is now also shifting to UE5 and its design is being improved. It’s intended for release on both PC and consoles. This game claims to provide a fresh take on time usage in gaming, emphasizing that it will not only affect the story but also combat mechanics with its unique characteristic of controlling your timeline. Recently this game created an impact at GDC 2024 during Unreal Engine 5 presentation by Epic.

ArcheAge 2 is the sequel of the sandbox MMORPG that came out in the year 2013, made by the creator of Lineage who is also handling this new one. Kakao had announced earlier a release date set for 2024 but they may slightly postpone it to year 2025 to make sure everything gets prepared perfectly. This game changes direction from its previous version which was more about big PvP fights; instead now ArcheAge 2 will concentrate on PvE and guild-versus-guild actions.
